The primary objective of the Hippology Contest is to provide in a friendly but competitive setting, an opportunity for youth enrolled in a horse project to demonstrate the breadth of their knowledge and understanding of equine science, and in particular the practical application of this knowledge and skill.  An hippology contest consists of four phases: judging, written test, stations, and team problem.

The hippology program is open to all Colorado 4-H youth. You do not have to own a horse to participate. For more information on the Colorado Hippology program, contact Amy Star at AStar@co.adams.co.us.
